On Friday night, April 3, I visited the PlanetCruz comedy show at the Kuumbwa. Below is a visual record of the evening (before my camera battery ran out).

  Sven Davis and Richard Stockton open the show.

Sven and Richard are Joined by Johhny Simmons of KUSP to poke a little fun at public radio.

Candy Churilla visits from San Francisco.

Zach Friend, spokesperson from the Santa Cruz PD, and Richard, contemplate the Stupidest Criminal of the Month.

  Local comic Jim Joseph favors us with his thoughts on love.

Larry Airey and Doug Dirt from The Banana Slug String Band, joined by Richard and members of the audience, sing about Water.

Richard plays "Tramp on The Street",  following a moving story, accompanied on vocals by Tammi Brown, 2009 Grammy Award Nominee (who has an incredible voice and I wish I had a picture of)

Sven and Lisa-licious select raffle winners from the space helmet  following the intermission.

Al Frisby, Santa Cruz/Louisiana Bluesman leading a sing along about Baaaaadddd Soymilk.

Manic comic Michael Mehan, in a suit made of what looked like quilted kids pajama material, favoring the audience with pure lunacy.

Clark Taylor, leg up on a log, recounts stories about Louisiana milk drinking contests and Frog Festivals.

The show ended with Tammi Brown singing "Dancing in the Streets".

There is one more show in May before the break, to resume in October. Get your tickets now, it is well worth it. Prepare to laugh and laugh and laugh.
