Louden
Nelson Community Center built in 1932 by William
Weeks in the Mission Revival style was converted into
a community center in 1978.
The name honors Louden Nelson, a former slave who lived
in Santa Cruz in the 1850's. Upon his death in 1860, Nelson
left his estate to the local school district. |
