Save Our Shores is a local group dedicated to marine conservation. Since 1978, SOS has been educating the public and legislators on issues vital to the health and ecology of the ocean, especially California coastal waters. SOS has been instrumental in the prevention of offshore oil and gas drilling, conducts water quality testing in local creeks and coastal areas, and was an important force behind the creation of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.

We salute their efforts to promote and protect the California coast and the delights and mysteries of our beloved Monterey Bay.
