What is a Mini-blog?
Your Mini-blog is an online journal: a place to publish your writing, pictures or videos. It is simple, easy-to-use, and free with your Cruzio membership.
How Can I Get More Blogging Features?
While a Mini-blog is a great way to get started blogging, you may have seen other blogs around the Internet with interesting themes, colors, and functionality. If you are ready for a more customized blog, please ask Cruzio about Website Plus and Premium services.
Writing a New Mini-blog Entry
First things first, log in to Cruzio.com with your Cruzio-hosted email address and password. Once logged in, you'll automatically find yourself on your profile page. To create a Mini-blog entry, click on the "Mini-blog" tab, then "Add and Manage Blog Entries" and lastly "Write New Entry".
OK, you're ready to write your first Blog entry. First, add a title by replacing "Blog title (click to edit)" with the title of your new entry. Type the rest of your entry in the box below. Use the icons in the toolbar to format your text or add Web links and lists.
Use the links on the right to add tags (a nice way of categorizing your post), images or videos to your entry (see below for more on images and videos.) When you're ready to publish your Blog entry, click on the "Save and Close" button in the upper right corner of the editing window.
Your latest Mini-blog entry will also appear chronologically on the Mini-blogs page of cruzio.com. Remember to keep your blog family-friendly and only to include others' copyrighted material with their permission.
You can make changes to your entry any time my going back to your Mini-blog tab.

Editing or Deleting a Mini-blog Entry
In your Profile's "Mini-blog" tab, click on "Add and Manage Blog Entries". Use the "Edit" and "Delete" links as you wish.
Adding a Description to Your Mini-blog
In your profile's Mini-blog tab, click on "Add and Manage Blog Entries". Click on "Preferences". Type a description of your blog, and then click on "Save". The description will show up in your profile's Blog tab.

Adding Images
To add an image to your Blog entry, just click on "Images and Document" in the links to the right. Click on the "Browse..." button, locate the image on your computer's hard drive and click "Upload".
Now just click on the image and it will automatically appear in your entry.
(Hint: don't drag the image into the editor, just click on it. If you drag the image you'll just be adding the small thumbnail.)
Click on the "Insert/Edit Image" button on the formatting toolbar for more advanced image tools.

Adding Videos
You can easily add videos to your Blog entry too. Just click on "Embed Videos" in the links to the right, enter the URL of the video, select the desired dimensions and click on the icon to the right of the URL field.
You'll see the code representing the embedded video appear in your entry. The video itself will be visible once you publish the entry (by clicking on "Save and Close".)

Viewing Your Mini-blog Statistics
In your Profile's "Mini-blog" tab, click on "Add and Manage Blog Entries". Click on "Stats" to see how many entries, hits and tags your blog has.

Guidelines
Remember that your Mini-blog is visible to everyone and will appear in the Mini-blogs page page along with other Members' entries. Keep it family friendly.
