Welcome to the Cruzio Support Forums. Here's where you'll find help and answers to all your questions about Cruzio services. If you don't find the answer you need, just log in and post the question yourself. Someone (whether it be another member, a Cruzio consultant or a Cruzio staff member) will answer it shortly.

Hey, while you're here you might even see a question someone else has posted that you know the answer too. If you do, go ahead and post an answer. That's the way it works, everyone answers the questions they can and asks their own when they need help. And the store of shared knowledge just grows and grows!

Reading the Forum

If you're familiar with using forums, you'll probably have no trouble with ours. It's a pretty standard forum structure.

If you haven't used forums very much, it just takes a few moments to get used to them.

Forum Levels

The basic structure of the forum is one of levels nested inside each other. Every forum post belongs to a topic; every topic belongs to a board; and every board belongs to a category.

For instance, this post is in the topic called Using the Forums; that topic is in the Cruzio Website board; and that board is in the Cruzio Support category. You can see where you are in the forum at any given moment by looking at the list of folder icons on the top left.

Once you get the feel for that basic structure, you'll be able to cruise around the various areas of the forums easily.

Moving Around

A forum page has lots of links to help you move around:

  • The navigation tree of indented folder icons (upper left, available on all pages): click the board or category to move up a level.
  • Previous-next links (top and bottom right, available on topic pages): click to move forward or backward through topics.
  • The jump menu (bottom right, available on topic pages): choose any board or category and click "go."
  • We've also put handy links to the main categories of Cruzio Services and Cruzio Website help in the sidebars of whatever page you're on in the Forums.

Searching the Forum

If you're looking for the answer to a specific question, the quickest and easiest way to find it will generally be using the search tool. The Cruzio Forums come equipped with a simple search and an advanced search.

Simple Forum Search

Use the Search box on the main Support page or when you are viewing any forum board to do a quick search. Just type a term, such as "DSL," into the search field and click Search.

If your search produces too many results, try using more words, or put double quotes around them—for example, search for "DSL modem" instead of just DSL. You can also use an advanced search, described below.

Here is a link to the simple search.

Advanced Forum Search

Start with a simple search. From the results page, click Search in the navigation tree.

To search for an exact phrase, type the phrase inside double quotes—for example, "junk mail."

To search for a group of words in any order, type the words without quotes and choose "Match all words" from the pop-up menu.

To search for any words in a group, type the words without quotes and choose "Match any words" from the pop-up menu.

Use the other options to narrow your search by post author, message age, or board. You can also change the way the results are ordered.

Here is a link to the advanced search page.
