Author Topic: Internet Explorer Security Risk  (Read 8227 times)
« on: December 15, 2008, 04:48:45 pm »

Microsoft has announced a serious security flaw in Internet Explorer. This vulnerability can allow cyber criminals access to passwords and possibly financial information on a compromised computer. We recommend using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Microsoft has more information about this here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/961051.mspx.

This was also reported by the Washington post today: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/12/15/AR2008121501933.html

Microsoft has announced a serious security flaw in Internet Explorer. ... We recommend using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.

Just to point out: you can get Firefox for free on Cruzio's Support Home Page. Just go to
http://www.cruzio.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=183
and click on the green Firefox button in the right column.

Lots of us prefer Firefox for other reasons, too.
