What is the science behind Xocai's health claims?

There is impressive and growing scientific literature behind the notion of "healthy chocolate." Xocai is the only company that can use the trademark "the Healthy Chocolate." Yes, there are many things you can do to maintain a healthy lifestyle; now, eating chocolate is one of them.

Are we advocating that you run down to your nearest grocery store and buy a few candy bars for lunch? Absolutely not. There are some specific ways to know which chocolate are deemed healthy. Chocolate is a natural substance and when it is prepared in a natural way, it can be a healthy treat.

One of the unique ways that Xocai prepares healthy chocolate is by a method called "cold press." This means we don't heat our chocolate, so it maintains its natural state. We also do not add sugar or caffeine or fat or other unnecessary ingredients.

Here is a quick review and some links to the science behind Xocai's healthy chocolate.  Many of these studies used Xocai chocolate, specifically; however some used cacao, which is cocoa in its natural form.

First, here is a clinical study on the effects of Xocai chocolate on  Atherosclerosis: Atherosclerosis Risk by Dr. Eliot Brinton, MD (Chair, Cardiovascular Genetics, University of Utah) --- April 2008
