The past year has been long and difficult for both me and the population at large. With our next presidential candidates finally official and the school year coming to a close, I say it's time for some much needed R&R.

If we could all—teachers, politicians, parents, children, everyone—stop and appreciate the things that are good and right, summer could just get us back on track.

I'll be using this summer to grow my own vegetables, bike instead of drive, and make some home upgrades that will benefit me and the economy.

Green living + relaxation = Good planet, stronger economy and a happier me.
