“Discontent is the first step towards progress”. So many folks seem so unhappy lately, this quote sprang to mind. If you're happy with life, one doesn't change. It's only when we're unhappy that we do start to change - look at health care! It took a long time for this country to be discontent enough to change presidents.

If you feel stuck in a rut, reach out - to a friend, a healer, your senator, etc. Take action rather than choosing to remain depressed. Change is our friend! There is a feeling of universal exasperation, but all displeasure is released with good information, and the true opportunity lies in dealing with what’s in front of you, rather than acting like a victim.

It is a revolutionary time - indeed, the last time Pluto was in Capricorn was during the Boston Tea Party. Now is the moment to look at your deepest motivations, and after re-exam to move into rebirth. With Saturn squaring Pluto, we are reminded of the Freemasons, who knew how to hold a thought, and how to hold a commitment. Remember to begin with small, gentle adjustments, and the slower the change, the more real and long lasting the results.

Aries: Mars spends half the month in Cancer, half in Leo. Now is a good time to nurture your deepest desires before bursting forth to show the world your splendor. Think big hair, not a big head, for Halloween.

Taurus: Venus shifts into Libra mid-month, allowing you deeper, healthier relationships. Begin ruminating on long term changes. Tap into your tenacious nature to hang onto what you really value the most.

Gemini: Quick silver Mercury goes through 3 signs in October- Virgo, Libra and Scorpio, and all feels accelerated for the sign of the Twins. Double your purpose and double your communication skills, my friend.

Cancer: The Sun is Squaring Cancer most of the month - notice what tension you feel in your relationships, and where you need to pay attention the most. Be kind to your body - remember, winter is around the corner.

Leo: Leo's are feeling the Sun in Libra, and are taking pains to shine in their relationships, or are caught roaring out their frustrations. Pull that thorn out of your paw and begin the healing process this fall.

Virgo: Chiron, the wounded healer, urges all Virgo's to move out of being a victim to being the hero of their health. Take charge of reintegrating resources. What old habit do you really need to let go of this winter?

Libra: Venus shines her love light on your soul’s purpose this month, allowing you to review your life’s intentions with gentleness, kindness, and compassion. Your diplomatic skills are honed and will be put to use.

Scorpio: Slow moving Pluto in Capricorn climbs one degree up the mountain, but all that deep seated patience pays off in the end. Allow yourself to fixate upon your true ambitions while letting go of past obsessions.

Sagittarius: Expansive Jupiter finally goes direct in Aquarius, and we move out of being in a glut to greater refinement. Ask better questions - instead of “Why is this happening” ponder “How will this strengthen me?”
Capricorn: Saturn spends it’s last hurrah in Virgo in this month, after 2.5 years in the sign of the hermit. Notice the difference between having a love life and a love of life. You are wholehearted now.

Aquarius: Uranus continues to retrograde in Pisces, allowing all Aquarians to tap into their dreams for lighting flashes of inspiration. Notice your thirst for knowledge - what will you do to quench it? Take a class.
Pisces: Your lovely planet Neptune continues to retrograde in Aquarius, having you review your feelings of faith and of being tested. Doubt your doubts, not the love. Compassion is your greatest strength.
