My favorite films of 2009Published in Best of 2009 by mike | Comment (5)I didn't get out to the theater a ton this year, but I still saw some pretty darn good films. So, in the order in which I saw them, here are my favs of the year, plus two disappointments! I Love you, Man  Paul Rudd is on a tear, and I thought this was much funnier than The Hangover. Star Trek  The stakes were high, but J.J. Abrams pulled it off. Great action,

The Beach Flats Community Center has had its funding cut by the city and it needs our help. They need to raise $122,000 by the end of June or they'll shut their doors.

My Top 3 Movies of the YearPublished in Best of 2008 by mike | Comment (0)I didn't see a ton of movies this year, but here are my three favorites: Wall-E--made me feel like a kid again. Dark Knight--Gripping crime drama+Batman+great performance as Joker by Heath Ledger=good stuff. Milk--After a few minutes I forgot it was Sean Penn and I believed it was Harvey Milk. Great performance. Overrated: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Went to a family reunion in Ohio this weekendPublished in Untagged by mike | Comment (4)The highlight definitely had to be Cedar Point. If you haven't heard of it, it's an amusement park about an hour away from Cleveland in Sandusky. They have some of the most insane roller coasters I've ever been on. Two of the highlights have to be Millenium Force and Dragster. I looked on youtube and found a video from each one, here they are: Millenium
