Change comes

Published in Quotes by RamblingRose | Comment (0)

As the days went on, I began to understand why the daily language of Ata lacked tense. There were times for doing certain things: times for planting, for dreaming, for eating, for telling dreams. There were times, but no time.

"Time doesn't exist here," I told Augustine.

"There is only now," she agreed.

"It's because nothing changes."

"Change comes, but

Thoughts on Elephants

Published in Little Stories by RamblingRose | Comment (0)

I was doing some spring cleaning, going through a bunch of old schoolwork in my kid's room. In a typical homework session for the first grade, the final assignment was to write one sentence about elephants—in the zoo, at the circus, whatever. I flipped to the last section, where she had neatly printed her sentence,

Today's Joke

Published in Jokes by RamblingRose | Comment (0)
Several centuries ago, the Pope decreed that all the Jews had to convert to Catholicism or leave Italy. There was a huge outcry from the Jewish community, so the Pope offered a deal. He would have a religious debate with the leader of the Jewish community. If the Jews won, they could stay in Italy; if the Pope won, they would have to convert or leave. The

Fresh start

Published in Little Stories by RamblingRose | Comment (0)

At 7:30 this morning, I walked in to Coffeetopia on Mission Street for my daily cup o' joe. When I got to the counter, the big urn had just run out. "Just a minute" said my favorite barrista, deftly popping on a fresh batch in it's stainless steel container on the hot plate.

I meandered over to the condiments bar - this time the half & half was out.

Sexual, Creative, Divine

I am a sexual, creative, divine being.

My first chakra houses the power to fuel my spiritual evolution.

I embrace the delicious passion and limitless desire as a means
to hurl my intentions fully in the direction of my highest calling.

My full sexual expression puts me in touch with my purest self, reveling in the pleasure of my well-deserved satisfaction,

Yet even now

Published in Poems by RamblingRose | Comment (0)
Yet even now a master waits your word
A power within which by your voice is stirred
To lift the weight of doubt, drive out the pain
Of throbbing drums that beat upon your brain-
The old regrets and stifled memories,
Suppressed emotions and uncertainties;
It bids confusion and all fear begone
That you may rest in peace until the dawn.

An Ancient Poem

Published in Poems by RamblingRose | Comment (2)

It’s an ancient poem of womanhood
written by our bodies
And when we dance we feel so good
Turning with our planet

Earth dancing, earth dancing
Turning with the wind
earth dancing, earth dancing,
Our lives begin again…

LOVE letters are an ancient art that always deepen intimacy. What heart doesn't surge when the object of affection pours PASSION onto the printed page? Magic ink, prepared paper, and MAGIC wax will seal the deal.

Take a special sheet of paper (sumptuous handmade or creamy watermarked stationery is ideal) and write with a MAGICAL colored ink - red dragon's

Skunk Medicine

Published in Little Stories by RamblingRose | Comment (0)
I went downstairs to get a glass of wine after finishing my presentation for tomorrow. There, on the deck, calmly eating the cat food, was a big black & white skunk. "Hmm," I thought to myself, "In the Medicine Cards, skunk represents attract what you need in order to grow."

My littlest kitten ran out, sniffed noses with my new friend, and promptly was

Seedling
I am deeply curled within
The seed of my possibilities
The waters make me tender

Even as I push through this darkness
To greet my unfolding self

Enough to Feel Alive

Published in Quotes by RamblingRose | Comment (0)
I love you, childhood. I love you who are neither mother (pardon me mother, for I prefer a woman) nor sister, neither daughter or son. I don’t care about the lineage of our fathers and their desire for institutions. Let’s be neither husband nor wife, do without the family, without roles, functions, and their laws of reproduction. I love you: your body here,
