Great restaurant if you don't mind NuroVirus,  01/17/09 at 9:45 PM Last year four of us had dinner at The Gabriella Cafe, My friend's wife and I both had the special dinner salad with crab, then came down with Noravirus 24 hours later. It was a very bad experience for the next 36 hours. I called the restaurant to inform them about the situation and that the only similar thing the two of us both ate was the crab salad hoping to prevent anyone else from getting ill but the hostess I spoke with didn't seem to be too responsive so I told her that I would like the owner to call me back about the problem. He never did. This lack of concern or the fact that possibly the waitress never conveyed my message angered me so I called the Department of Health. About four days later they called me back and said they determined it was Nurovirus and that they had traced it back to the Stagnaro's where the crab was purchased. None the less I will not be spending another $200 on dinner at Gabriella's after that experience and the lack of follow up after my call. You can pay your money folks and take your chances. For my money there are plenty of fine restaurants I can drop a couple of C notes at without getting think you are going to die sick!
