Beat Stress With Drumming: Community Drum Circle To Raise Funds For Santa Cruz Area Veterans Services
Percussionist and Navy Veteran (linguistics expert) Jim Greiner will lead a drum circle on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. as a benefit for Santa Cruz, California area Veterans Services. The event will take place at the downtown Santa Cruz Veterans Memorial Hall at 836 Front St. The cost is $10, with Veterans FREE.
Everyone, at any level of experience, with any kind of drum or percussion instrument is enthusiastically welcomed to join in on this all-ages, rhythm party! Jim will provide instruments, and participants are welcome to bring their own.
The Santa Cruz Memorial Building is an historical monument in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz and is maintained by local people dedicated to providing a facility and services to military veterans. The building also provides affordable renal space for the educational, cultural and recreational needs of the community at large.
