In support of their outstanding debut release, Coolidge Returns, guitarist Julian Coryell, son of Larry, drummer Karma Auger, son of Brian and bassist Nick Sample, son of Joe, make up CAST!, one of today's smoking new jazz-rock jam bands. It all starts with a serious groove - always funky with some down home grit. But, with this group's creative pedigree, don't expect it to stay there. Throw in some angular, sophisticated be-bop and synergistic, high-level musicianship, and you have a group that is articulate and distinct that delivers on its promise to lay down some of the greasiest, funkiest, seriously hard swinging music on the circuit today.
