Of course, I should have thought of that. In that case, right-click (or control-click if you have a one-button mouse) on the email link, and you should see an option to copy the link address. In Firefox on Mac, for instance, the option is called "Copy Email Address." Other programs like Internet Explorer or Safari should have something similar.

I should have mentioned this method in the first place - it's probably easier than the other way.

This is a workaround, though it's kind of awkward...

Instead of clicking on the email link, drag over it to select it, and then copy it.

Now go to your Cruzio webmail, click Compose to start a new message, and paste that email address into the To field.

Hi, sorry you're having problems. Maybe Cruzio Support will step in to help as well. You should provide some details, though.

Can you describe the actions you take, and what you see on the computer? I'm assuming that after you log in to cruzio.com, you click the Get Email link. What happens, exactly, after clicking the link?

(When I log in to cruzio.com and click Get Email, a new window pops up and shows me my email inbox. Sometimes my inbox is empty, of course, but at least I know that I've successfully gotten into my email account.)

Another question - have you successfully used Cruzio Webmail from any other location before? It would be good to know if you're having Webmail problems in general, or just from your current location.

Hi!  I think you will be happy to know:

1. After uploading the image, did you try clicking on it in the Guide listing? You should get a nicely zoomed-in popup of the image. Try it on any images in the Guide.

You can upload up to 4 images. And yes, they always appear as smaller thumbnails at the bottom of the page, until they are clicked on.


2. I just experimented and found that in the Calendar, you can make a link with HTML code. So you'd write something like this:

<a href="http://website.com/pathto/thefile">this is the text</a>

where website.com is the website you're linking to, and pathto/thefile is the location and name of the file on that site (whether the file is something.pdf, something.html, or whatever kind of file it is).

"This is the text" are the words that say "printable pdf" or whatever you want.

Example: there is a pdf about removing stains at

http://www.human.cornell.edu/TXA/Outreach/upload/removingstains.pdf

but I can use html like this:

<a href="http://www.human.cornell.edu/TXA/Outreach/upload/removingstains.pdf">Removing Stains (PDF)</a>

and people will just see a link that says Removing Stains (PDF).

If you'd rather not mess with HTML, you can at least shorten the link using a service like http://tinyurl.com.

You're welcome! If the MacBook is indeed connected to the Netgear, and the Netgear's just not reaching far enough, there are definitely range extenders. I don't have any personal experience with them, so I can't give you any recommendations. I just did a google search for "netgear range extender" and turned up one on Amazon with mixed reviews:

I think Google will be your best friend at this point.

No worries, I understand better now. Your next step is to get your computers on the same network. That network is created by the netgear. So you should follow the same procedure to get your other mac (a laptop, you said?) to receive the wifi signal from the netgear, just like the mini does. The instructions for connecting a mac wirelessly are in this support section and you can search for them.

Once the laptop is connected, if you would like to share files and data between the two macs, just turn on file sharing on both macs and you'll be in business.

Don't hesitate to keep asking for help until this is solved!

I'll let the experts give you a real answer, but I suspect the key will be to start using WiFi instead of Bluetooth. Bluetooth is only intended for very short distances, but a wireless WiFi router will usually cover a residence reasonably well.

Since you say you already have such a router, I'd suggest using that instead of Bluetooth. Get both of the Macs connected wirelessly to the Netgear, and then go to your System Preferences (on both Macs) and to Sharing, and turn on File Sharing.

Hi Daniel,

Go to "Santa Cruz Guide" in the green menu bar above, and then click the "Add new listing" link. Choose Professional Services for the category for your listing. You'll then get to choose the service type, and you should choose Computer/Internet. Fill out the other fields as you like and click the submit button - that's it!

Hmm, that's odd. Doesn't happen to me.  I wonder if you could work around it by refreshing your profile page, or even logging out and in again.
